Praise be unto the Lord Jesus Christ, the king of kings who reconciled us with the Father through His crucifixion. Because of His sacrifice, we received the forgiveness of our sins and the gift of the indwelling precious Holy Spirit. You don’t have to be a doctor or a preacher, you don’t have to have any title at all or possess anything to carry God’s presence. You just need to accept Jesus by confessing with your mouth and believing in your heart that He is your Lord and Savior. Carrying God’s presence is to decide to walk with Jesus on a journey through prayer, fasting, and reading His Word. And as you walk with Him, He will love, embrace, carry, and protect you when the road gets tough. Before you know it, you’ll be shocked at your transformation. You will be carrying the sweet aroma of His Presence without realizing it. For example, when Jesus got arrested, Peter was watching the scene from a distance and wanted to be undercover. Little did he know, since he was walking with Jesus, he was already transformed and there was a light shining through him that he couldn’t even see. Therefore, when you carry God’s presence, you are set apart, you can’t be handled in any way, and you change the atmosphere without even trying to.
Let’s consider the first one, you are set apart when you carry God’s presence. Though imperfect, as you continue to walk with God, He will eventually pull you out of your environment and circle. He will free you from your negative habits to prepare you for His purpose, and you will be trained by Him. During training, you will make mistakes, but God will help you. The key is to stay the course no matter what. Also, as you learn and walk with God, He will demand and expect certain things from you. There are many things that you will have to unlearn and relearn because “From everyone who has been given much, much will be demanded; and from the one who has been entrusted with much, much more will be asked” Luke 12: 48. It’s not easy to make these changes but always remember that God will help you. You are not alone in this journey.
Second, you can’t be handled in any way when you carry God’s presence. As you move forward with the Lord, allow Him to prune you, and shape you, which means God will take over your life and plans. Consequently, you become more cautious of your decisions, actions, and thoughts, and have a desire to die daily seeking to be in alignment with God’s plan for your life. At this point, your enemies become God’s enemies. See, when God asks you to die daily and not to take matters into your own hands, He knows at this time you become vulnerable. God also knows that this level of submission creates problems in the Kingdom of Darkness because you are doing things differently. This can make you think that you become an easy prey to the enemy. However, it is just the opposite. God will deal with your enemies on your behalf, and you don’t even have to be on the scene.
For example, Moses was not even present when his sister Miriam and brother Aaron spoke against him, yet God called them out of their sin and dealt with them (Numbers 12:1-15). Therefore, God will not allow your enemies to treat you in any way without punishment because He is present in your life. And If God doesn’t vindicate you right away, that’s when you really need to pray for your enemies so that God can grace them with the gift of repentance. Otherwise, when God finally deals with them, you will find yourself on the other end begging God on their behalf for His mercy.
Lastly, you change the atmosphere when you carry God’s presence. As I mentioned earlier, the forces of evil in the dark places will be disturbed because you behave differently than what they’re expecting. Therefore, when you walk into a room and you operate the way God wants you to operate, you shift things around. You may not always see in the natural the walls that God is tearing down through you but rest assured that God is destroying walls, which often manifest by the level of irritation, frustration, and attacks that come your way through people or circumstances. Always remember, Satan is cunning, and he will never come to you and say: ‘I am Satan, I hate you and I want to steal from you, kill and destroy you.’
For instance, nobody knew Jesus took back the keys of Death and Hades after He died on the cross. So, what looked like a total defeat was in fact a total victory. When you carry God’s presence, He can transform a whole neighborhood Through you. And this is when you realize that ever since you moved to that neighborhood, things have started to change. Babies are no longer being born with abnormalities and violence and rape have not been reported in the neighborhood or city. There is no telling of what God can do through you to save homes, communities, cities, and even nations when you carry His presence.
